Vineyards of Nosiola<\/strong><\/p>

\u2018Nosiola\u2019 is the only white grape variety in Trentino. The vineyards of this area benefit from the typically Mediterranean climate thanks to the influence of Lake Garda and the passage of the Ora river, the wind that blows from the lake towards the hinterland. From these rows the winemakers of the Valle dei Laghi produce the famous Vino Santo, a Slow Food presidium. This one is a passito that comes from the drying of Nosiola grapes left on the so-called “arele” (racks) from mid-September until the \u2018pressing’ during Holy Week. The annual event, which precedes Easter, is linked to this product with \u201cDiVinNosiola\u201d, an event promoted by the Vino Santo Trentino Doc Winemakers Association.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Calavino<\/strong><\/p>

The town is located at the western base of Monte Bondone and develops mainly along the stream that descends from Lasino, La Roggia. Here one can find the parish church of S. Maria Assunta which dates back to the 11th century. At the beginning of the 16th century the Madruzzo family enlarged both the nave and the presbytery, added a pronaos to the fa\u00e7ade and built their own family chapel, embellished with frescoes attributed to Fogolino. The Church of Saints Mauro, Grato and Giocondo, which dates back to 1400, is located in Cornion, on the route from Calavino to Sarche, and is dedicated to three patron saints of the countryside.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Path of the Roggia of Calavino<\/strong><\/p>

It is a truly suggestive itinerary, in which cultural, historical and naturalistic peculiarities come together. Following the course of the Roggia, one can find traces of how this element also shaped human landscapes, allowing the flourishing activity of shops and laboratories in Calavino until the 19th century.
